Top 5 Ways to Attract Customers with Confectionery

In confectionery, promotional items as marketing tools are nothing new. For decades, millions of businesses around the world have been using some form of promotional items to increase the effectiveness of their direct marketing campaigns to varying degrees. You may be one of them.

But what many of these companies don’t know is that including “display items” in direct marketing does not guarantee immediate success. In fact, the wrong choice of “exhibits” can have an extremely negative effect on the effectiveness of your direct marketing. How many times have you thrown away branded pens, key chains, bead holders, mousepads, and other items that you didn’t really need? I’ve certainly done it more times than I can remember.

So what can your company do to maximize the effectiveness of its direct marketing campaigns?

The answer, in my opinion, lies in the saying “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. In practical terms, this means that you need something sweet to attract the customer’s attention.

So why are promotional sweets such an effective marketing tool? First of all, everyone loves chocolate and sweets or knows at least one colleague, friend, or lover who has a preference for sweets. Therefore, a letter or gift containing chocolate or a well-filled lollipop will certainly be well received. Promotional candy also attracts real attention. If there are 20 letters or flyers on your desk when you receive your mail, which one will get your attention? Unit 19 without candy or lollipop packaging, or Unit 19 with candy packaging?

If you’ve figured out the potential of candy and lollipops as promotional tools, check out the “Top 5 ways to attract new customers with candy” below.

1. Promotional bags

Promotional bags distributed at conferences, exhibitions, and street events are a very cost-effective way to promote your brand. These promotional bags are clear cellophane bags sealed with a branded sticker to keep them fresh and can hold as many products as you like. Colorful lollipops and jelly bellies look especially nice in these bags, but they are not recommended for chocolates.

2. Promotional noodle boxes.

Promotional noodle boxes are a great way to spice up your marketing campaign, especially if you want to add chocolate to the marketing campaign. Decorated with corporate stickers, business cards, and colorful ribbons, they not only look pretty, but they also act as a little billboard, as they stay on potential customers’ desks for a long time. One day, a client proudly called me to tell me that his main client was now using the pasta box with stickers from his company as a paper clip holder on his desk. That’s how many times a day customer #1 looks at the box and thinks of my client. Of course, he was very satisfied.

Again, any product can be placed in the box, but chocolate is usually the most popular. The products are wrapped and tied in a cellophane bag to keep them fresh.

3. Corporate gifts for confectionery

Corporate confectionery gifts are especially popular at Christmas, as “employee of the month” and to thank clients after a big project. A gift basket or box filled with chocolate bars or fine confections is sure to get your attention. Everyone loves to receive a gift. It makes them feel special. And of course, any business would feel the same way about their customers.

4. Branded confectionery

Promoting your company at events, conferences, and trade shows is still expensive, but worth it. Not only does the branding on the packaging attract attention, but it is also easier to distribute confections at events, conferences, and trade shows than other promotional items. Poorly flavored chocolates and lollipops will never be popular! It is important to ensure the quality of the candy you use. But if you do it right, potential customers’ taste buds and memorable aromas will give your business a good reputation. When designing your packaging, don’t miss the opportunity to increase the chances of potential customers contacting you by inserting a “call to action” or “promo code.”

5. Happy Dips

These promotional packets wrapped in colorful tissue paper are the most popular snack for events, street distribution, and general advertising. The packets can also contain business cards or promotional giveaways that allow recipients to learn more about your business.
